As many that know me know that I have spent some time in the manufactured home business. Just a short few months ago I got back into the business and am working with Prestige Homes in Yulee, FL. The fun part of my new position is that I am going to market myself like I have not done in the past. In the past I have marketed the company first not myself. This time I am marketing myself first.
I have created my own website to market myself and to generate leads to sell homes to. Some other things I am doing is using Craigslist.org and Facebook as lead generators as well. The nice thing about using these other mediums to drive my own leads is that I am not relying on the dealership to drive me traffic to sell homes to.
As a professional salesperson it is my duty to create my own opportunities. These types of opportunities will close at a higher rate and be more profitable than typical walk in customers. It will also allow me to develop a proof of concept that i can use to resell or in any other endeavor I choose.
For the last 10 years I have been basically self employed except for a few brief intervals. I am treating my new position as being self employed thus responsible for my own destiny when it comes to generating and closing sales.
By nature I am a pretty good salesman and I am a transaction junkie. Those two things make for an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. If I can generate 10 good leads a week and have a paltry 10% closing ration my personal income will be substantial while at the same time allowing me to serve others and help them meet their goals.
